Invasive vines; the problem
These weedy vines and creepers have escaped from our paddocks and gardens and now pose a real and significant threat to local bushland and creeks. They are capable of very rapid growth and smother and choke native plants, they are also often poisonous to our wildlife. These plants are slowly turning our natural bushlands and waterways into an ugly wasteland of weeds. The four photogaphs below were taken at the project site and graphically illustrate the potential for destruction these invasive vines have.
